'Brisk Walk' Fourth in the Country Walk Series - Simple Man by Evie

Meet Simple Man's most spirited companion yet: a wonderfully determined emu who has decided that a leisurely amble simply won't do. Out in front and setting a blistering pace, this long-legged, rather skittish adventurer has turned a gentle morning outing into a full-speed dash across the countryside.

Holding tight to a bright red leash, Simple Man is swept along for the ride, his feet lifted clean off the ground as he hangs on, a tad concerned, his well-known affectionate good humour hidden beneath his need to hold on tight. It's a vivid reminder that the best adventures are often the ones you didn't quite plan for.

Brisk Walk is the fourth artwork in Evie's Country Walk Series, a collection of original watercolours following Simple Man through the landscapes, seasons, and small delights of everyday life.
