"Off to Donaldson's Dairy" is the second in the Country Walk Series - Simple Man by Evie

Some walks call for a bit of mischief, and this particular morning, Simple Man has found the perfect companion for it.

Bounding out in front of him is a scruffy and rather shaggy black dog with a gleam of adventure in his eye, the kind of dog who trots with purpose, sniffs at every hedge, and seems entirely certain that something exciting is just around the corner. He's a dog who reminds us fondly of a certain beloved storybook character, though this is very much his own countryside escapade.

Together, Simple Man and his four-legged friend make their way along the lane, unhurried and content, with the promise of good things ahead. Perhaps a treat. Perhaps a friend to meet along the way. Perhaps, as the title playfully suggests, they're simply Off to Donaldson's Dairy.

Off to Donaldson's Dairy is the second artwork in Evie's Country Walk Series, a collection of original watercolours following Simple Man through the landscapes, seasons, and small delights of everyday life. Each piece celebrates the beauty found in companionship and the everyday moments that matter most.

The Story Behind the Simple Man Artwork

Following on from Catwalk, this piece continues the wandering journey of the Simple Man artworks; a community movement designed to support the small businesses and charities that hold our Southern Highlands villages together. Each new addition to the Country Walk Series carries forward that same spirit: a first print signed with Evie's hallmark purple signature and sent out into the community, moving from business to business, spreading a little warmth and generosity along the way.
