About Lotus Magic

The Lotus lives its life with unwavering faith, beauty and strength.

It can bloom from seeds that are thousands of years old. That’s amazing, don’t you think?

It grows from the depths of the mud, where the light struggles to shine. Once it blooms, it brings forth a flower full of strength and splendour. A flower for the world to behold. Then it gently closes its petals each night only to blaze in the sun’s glory again the next day.

We believe that everyone has a sacred Lotus seed within, waiting to make its way through the muddy waters of life and bloom, no matter how long it has laid dormant.

This is the beauty within!

From out of the Lotus to you…

Our mission of nurturing Growth and Empowerment is based on harnessing the power of stories. Stories that enrich us, stories that promote Love and Connection, stories that break down barriers, stories that celebrate the rich textures and patterns of the Earth and all that resides on it.

The LotusMagic range has been developed and created by us. Inspired by the Lotus.

In many cultures, the Lotus is a symbol of enlightenment, self-regeneration and rebirth. It is a flower of magic, the magic within. A flower that symbolises how beauty can blossom from even the darkest times.

We hope our gift to you is one of Empowerment and Connection. Connection with the land, and with each other. Our aim is to connect parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, friends, and carers with the ones they love even when you can’t be with each other.

I’m a mother of three, a psychotherapist, a teacher of creative writing and a lover of nature and its people.  I have worked with children and families for more than thirty years. I began my journey as a nanny in England before returning to Australia to work with the intellectually disabled and people with severe autism. I then set up a private practice where I worked with families, young children and teenagers. This led me into teaching creative writing to high school students as a way of helping them understand themselves and others in the turbulent times of their teenage years. Helping them emerge from their muddy waters with some clarity and belief in who they are and who they are yet to become.

LotusMagic is about all that I have learnt along the way. It’s as much about my clients, my students, and my family as it is about You.
Journey with us and blossom in all your glory.

(Founder)

LotusMagic is about connection in a world where people are becoming more disconnected.

A world where people, young and old, are feeling disempowered and voiceless.

We know that, if given the chance, the Lotus animals will guide you through the darkness, promoting inclusivity, and respect for land, culture, and self.

They were born in a mystical realm of possibility but are deeply grounded in human reality.

Our Promise

We are committed to ensuring our products are sourced from reputable supply chains. We are proactive and mindful in nurturing the planet and upholding social justice.

We are a part of the Ethical Toy Program (IETP) and have used their expertise to help source our factories.

The art and décor from Bulurru Foundation and Better World Arts all support First Nations communities, ensuring that artisan workers are given ownership over the art and products they create. They also guarantee that the products are sourced from ethical factories both in Australia and overseas.

Our other products are Australian made or sourced from ethical factories overseas.

Growth and Empowerment are just words unless they are followed by action. We truly want to Empower everyone! We believe that community support and education are needed to break the negative cycles that hold us back. Therefore, we support three wonderful charities empowering women, young men and children to live better lives.

The charities we humbly support are:

Destiny Rescue, which devotes itself to the rescue of children from sexual exploitation and human trafficking around the world; The Women’s Legal Service, which supports those who need help with domestic violence; and BackTrack, helping young people stay out of jail by grounding them in the community and giving them a sense of worth.
When people feel connected rather than rejected, a whole new world opens.

Thank you for helping us work towards a better world.
